The Fullerton Airport History Project from 1928 to the present

Vision Statement for the event:

To educate the community and explore the history about the importance of the Fullerton airport both economically and its impact on the community. We'd like to investigate the role the Fullerton airport has played in both the development of general and military aviation in Orange County in the twentieth century.

Purpose of the Fullerton Airport Project:

educate the community about its existence and pass on that knowledge and importance to younger people, explore the history of the Fullerton airport since its beginnings in 1913 and dedication in 1928, investigate the economic impact on the community, investigate the airport as a military training ground during significant military actions

The Presentation will feature:

  1. Oral History interviews deposited at CSUF Center for Oral and Public History (COPH),
  2. still photograph exhibit,
  3. half hour video with music and a narration ,
  4. Public Presentation of Project.

When is it and Where?

Wednesday March 8, 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM

Cal State Fullerton Pavilion A

  • Event will consist of:
  • Dinner
  • Video presentation
  • Speaker
  • Door prize drawings
